Here’s another Genocide project…different than ours, but it has good information about the 8 stages….

For your project….

Objective: 

Students will demonstrate an understanding of a specific Genocide and connect what happened to the 8 stages of genocide we learned about…

Assignment: 

Students research a Genocide of their choice. In some cases, students will have difficulty making a connection to all of the 8 stages. At the very least, students should answer the following questions specific to their genocide…

-What was it? (did it have a name or what is it referred to as)

-Where did it happen?

-Why was it considered genocide?

-How long did it last?

-How many died?

-What effect did or does it have on the world?

-What can the average person do to help? -or- what could have the average person done to help?
