Students completed research for the current events assignment. This is the last monthly assignment for the year and is now due!
Students were asked to bring suggestions for topics to end out the year. Stay tuned for the date of our in class final exam.
One suggestion was to investigate “cults”.. a system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object. Example…a relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister.
We looked at Heaven’s Gate leader Marshall Applewhite This video explains his plan to leave the planet that resulted in the mass suicide in San Diego where 39 people chose to die.

May 30.. response required…Born in the sewers Read the article and respond to the fact that the European Union Commission said Romania has done a good job of respecting the fundamental freedoms of their citizens, and have done a good job of protecting children…really? Why are people allowed to live in sewers?
